Singapore’s cruise industry has experienced significant growth over the past decade, surpassing two million passengers in 2023, with a 7.1% CAGR from 2013. This growth is fuelled by:
Singapore’s strong air connectivity,
its strategic location in Asia Pacific,
significant investments in infrastructure,
and a supportive cruise ecosystem over the past decade.
Singapore’s two cruise terminals1 also support the deployment of many popular cruise brands, offering diverse experiences to various traveller segments, from families and solo travellers to young professionals and active seniors.
With the global cruise industry on a growth trajectory2 and increasing interest in the Asia Pacific market, Singapore is well-placed for continued industry expansion.
Singapore Tourism Board (STB) will continue to work with cruise lines, cruise terminals, and industry partners to attract more brands, generate passenger demand, and ensure our infrastructure remains at the forefront of delivering exceptional cruise experiences.
Beyond domestic development, we play a pivotal role in championing cruise development in Southeast Asia. As the cruise lead coordinator in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), we collaborate with regional neighbours to expand port offerings, create exciting itineraries, and enhance the region's cruise appeal.
