The proposed wellness attraction is a key part of STB's strategy to grow wellness tourism
The Land and Concept Development Division at Singapore Tourism Board (STB) champions the tourism masterplan of tourism precincts across Singapore. Our mission is to develop vibrant, world-class tourism concepts that enhance Singapore’s appeal as a premier tourist destination and drive purpose of visit. We actively seek partnerships with visionary developers, investors, and concept owners who share our commitment to excellence and innovation.
Sites STB Champions
Mandai Wildlife Reserve
We support the Mandai Wildlife Group, steward of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, in positioning the precinct as a unique wildlife and nature destination where visitors can make meaningful connections with the fascinating world of wildlife. Under the rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, five zoological parks will be integrated with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort, providing access to a wide range of sustainable and ethical wildlife experiences.
Marina South Coastal site
We are developing a wellness attraction at the Marina South Coastal site as part of STB’s strategy to grow wellness tourism in Singapore. It is envisioned to be a large format attraction that offers myriad wellness experiences such as therapeutic arts, light or frequency-based therapies, complementary health offerings, and indoor/outdoor water or equipment-based fitness experiences. The development will complement other places of interest in the vicinity, like Gardens by the Bay, and give travellers more compelling reasons to extend their stay in Singapore.
Jurong Lake District
We invite investors to propose world-class and distinctive concepts that will be purpose-of-visit drivers to Jurong Lake District, which is set to become Singapore’s largest mixed-use business district outside of the central area. The concepts should create fun, enriching, immersive, and memorable experiences that capture visitors’ imagination, and integrates seamlessly with the other offerings in the area.
Orchard Road
We work closely and partner with public agencies, private sector stakeholders and the Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) to champion and support new and attractive offerings in order to rejuvenate Orchard Road into a distinctive, must-visit lifestyle destination. Under the Orchard Road Rejuvenation Plan, new experiential concepts across retail, dining, hospitality and entertainment offerings will be introduced at Orchard Road to cater to the varied interests of our visitors.
Key Initiatives
Our key initiatives include:
Enhancing physical infrastructure, to support events and developing a creative wayfinding system.
Supporting initiatives that strengthen Orchard Road’s vibrancy, such as the new live entertainment venue at Grange Road Event Space and the Istana Park expansion in Dhoby Ghaut.
Pursuing long-term integrated redevelopment plans, which involves working closely with public agencies and private developers.
Locals and tourists can look forward to vibrant street activations such as the Grand Prix Singapore Season, Orchard Road Precinct Party and our signature event, Christmas on A Great Street, an annual festive light-up that has delighted millions of visitors for more than 40 years.
