Conducting the TATG Industry Conference is one of the various ways STB supports the industry
Singapore has more than 1,000 travel agencies, each offering unique experiences for locals and tourists. To support travel agents as key partners in the tourism ecosystem, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) collaborates with the industry to enhance their business competitiveness through capability development and adherence to regulatory compliance.
Any person who contravenes any provision of the Travel Agents Act 1975 or the Travel Agents Regulations 2017 shall be liable to one or more of the following:
Administrative Financial Penalty up to S$2,000
Licence suspension or revocation
Composition at a sum not more than half the maximum fine prescribed for the offence or S$5,000, whichever is lower
Court fine and/or imprisonment

As of 1 Jan 2024, all travel agent licences are issued electronically via the Travel Agents and Tourist Guides Licensing System (TRUST) portal
Key points to note for electronic licence issuance
Licence design: The QR code on the licence allows members of the public to scan and determine the validity and authenticity of the licence in real time.
Print and display licence: Even with an e-licence, all travel agents must continue to print and display their licences.
