About BEiS    

The Business Events in Singapore (BEiS) scheme aims to attract and grow high-quality events in Singapore in the long term, as well as catalyse the innovation of new content.

BEiS also supports activities that will build the foundation for quality business events in Singapore in the long term. Find out your eligibility and more details about BEiS.

Am I eligible?

✓ The scheme is open only to the Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry, including businesses and associations.

✓ Eligible projects include:

  • Hosting of business events in Singapore, such as Association Conventions, Corporate Activities, Exhibitions, Incentive Travel, Meetings, and Trade Conferences

  • Pre-event activities, such as business and capability development initiatives, conducting of market feasibility studies, and bidding activities

✗ Projects that commenced prior to Singapore Tourism Board’s offer may not be eligible for grant support. These may include projects where:

  • Applicant has started work (e.g. tender has been called)

  • Applicant has made payment(s) to any supplier, vendor, or third party

  • Applicant has signed a contractual agreement with any supplier, vendor, or third party

Note: The eligibility of the project is subject to STB’s assessment.

How will my project be evaluated?

The project scope will be assessed based on the following criteria:

  • Event Programme

  • Event Content

  • Event Size

  • Attendees’ Profiles (foreign visitorship)

  • Sustainability initiatives for the event

What costs can be supported?

Grantee will receive funding support for qualifying third-party project-related costs:

  • Professional services

  • Content development

  • Marketing

  • Bidding activities

Qualifying costs need to be:

  • Incurred by (i.e., receipt of goods and services);

  • Invoiced to; and

  • Paid for

by the grantee within the qualifying period to quality for disbursement.

Prepare an executive summary (e.g. project objectives, description, schedule, and costing) of your project and submit it to STB_Incentives@stb.gov.sg.

An SECB* officer will be in touch to advise on the eligibility of your project to proceed with the application process. Grantee must prepare the information required in the project proposal and submit an application via Business Grants Portal#.

Note:

  • *Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau™    

  • #A CorpPass account is required to apply for the grant on BGP. It should take approximately 30 minutes to complete the application with complete information on hand.

What is the estimated processing time for grant application?

Up to 90 days upon receipt of the completed and signed application form and supporting documents, if any.

How will the grant be disbursed?

Grants will be disbursed to grantees on a reimbursement basis, subject to verification of qualifying costs and achievement of the agreed project deliverables and milestones.

Grantee is required to submit an Agreed-Upon (AUP) Report by Practitioner on qualifying costs and supporting documents to prove achievement of deliverables for the disbursement of grant, unless otherwise stated.
